Valcambi SA manufactures “Green Gold” bars which enable the company’s customers to trace the source of the gold content of each bar. Green Gold, if required, is available in the form of 400 oz bars, 1000 g and smaller cast bars, minted bars and grain. The bars were launched in 2008. Valcambi gold bars are also manufactured in Switzerland. In addition to the normal range of gold bars, Valcambi also manufacture a gold combibar, which is very popular with investors. Valcambi also manufacture Credit Suisse gold bars for investors. 

Traceable Gold 

Green Gold bars contain only newly-mined gold shipped directly to Valcambi for refining from selected mines. Each bar is stamped with the company’s Green Gold logo, and in the case of 400 oz bars the letters “GG” precede the serial number. The bars reassure fabricators and dealers, which require a guarantee of the precise origin of the gold content. A web service enables them to obtain detailed information on the Green Gold bars they have purchased.

Production

The company undertakes an entirely separate production process to ensure that Green Gold is uncontaminated. This even includes the use of dedicated crucibles. In addition, whenever Green Gold is produced, an independent entity, Alex Stewart (Assayers) Ltd monitors all aspects. As the production process incurs additional costs, Green Gold bars are made available as premium products at prices above normal cast and minted bars
